Within three years NDFM has evolved into a significant music streaming service. Now with a global audience of over 40,000 open-minded music enthusiasts spanning 24+ music platforms across 57 countries. Our mission is to unite music from various cultural backgrounds, resulting in a diverse, uncompromising sound that can only be described by the generic name Jazz.

Way back in the mid-1970s, Billy Cobham released an album that altered the course of my life, The Album Crosswinds and the track Heather just took my musical mind in a different direction, I started to go to Jazz clubs to hear and see this music that set my mind on fire.

Around 2002 Joe released the Faces and places album - I arranged what was my very first interview and it was with Joe Zawinul my music idol, using a mini disc recorder to record a phone call to Joe’s home in the USA.

MESTIZO SOUNDS PRESENT BARCELONA MANCHESTER
Mestizo Sounds is continuing with “Let's Talk about Music” series, this new programme will focus on the musical cities of Barcelona and Manchester. Jordi Ballart, a Barcelona native from Hospitalet, writer and Catalan linguist, will talk with Mestizo Sounds about the music of these two cities.
